Citizens of LP. Sorry.
Next week (Saturday) is Lincoln Park Day, a celebration of all things LP. Come down, check out Main Street and Boro Field. Should be a lot of fun.
And check out the Suburban Trends if you can. Especially the coverage of Borough Council meetings. LP Residents need to keep an eye on these elected officials. They need to be put on notice.
Here's one reason. In 2008, LP was named the 5th BEST PLACE TO LOVE IN NJ by NJ Monthly. In 2010, we fell to #79! How is that possible. Could it be the unbelievable tax increase we all received so an over the top municipal building could be built? Could it be because our K-8 School System has taken a big downturn because of budet shortfalls, brought on mainly be the NJEA? Think.
Speaking of the schools: the BOE decided to CUT all MS sports this year due to the budget. So the Lincoln Park PAL has stepped up to provide MS Sports. Problem is, the NJEA and teachers will not coach (no money you see), so the PAL has to find a number of volunteers to get the job done. Heard the teachers are saying that they are made to look like the bad guys. Guess what - you are.
