Now This

The Trends had a headline a week or so ago about layoffs at the schools...

What does it mean?

Rumor has it the sports and extracurricular programs at LPMS will be cut. Please note that is a rumor.

Fact is the benefits and salaries of teachers is substantial. Add the burden of pensions and now it becomes unbearable. The system built it's own problem. No way out except cut, cut, cut.

Who Bought the Donuts?

The Borough Council apparently had a budget meeting yesterday to discuss cuts in the budget.

While the meeting was going on, many of them were witnessed chowing down on Dunkin' Donuts, and multiple boxes of donuts were spied in council chambers.

So who bought the donuts? You did. The taxpayer. The Lincoln Park resident. Because the Bourgeoisie of elected officials and one Borough clerk think they are above the proletariat and their collective needs.

Nice job.

Solutions

When a problem is present, a solution should be found to address the problem.

Simple.

Time for the Borough Council to be replaced. No quarter. Everybody goes.

Kerwin - Gone
Pepe- Gone
Long - Gone
Wild - Gone
Petracca - Gone
Thompson - Gone

Or we lose. Bet.

Slasher Film

That is what the budget meetings by the council resemble. A Slasher Film. Cut, cut, cut.

It's pretty hard to preach "fiscal responsibility" after a $23M Municipal Building and associated firehouses were voted on, approved and built. So now we will take away from the citizens of LP.

I have a great idea. How about the council renounce the $5000 they all get as a stipend or "compensation" for their work as elected officials. That would amount to $35,000.00 as a giveback to the residents. Maybe we can have a program or two.

Clock is ticking. Make your voice heard.

The Who Is Who Game

I am running a contest.

Any citizen of the fantastic town of Lincoln Park who spots any council member at any event other than a council meeting should respond to this post. It could be a school event, PAL event, recreation department event, whatever. Heck, if they go to the SHop-Rite and talk to 2 people while they are there I will count that.

First one to 5 wins. I will think of something good (but cheap). My bet is nobody wins because they don't attend anything! Phantoms.
